Adult Day Services

Do you have a loved one who may no longer be alone during the day?  Someone who may be frail, developmentally disabled, or socially isolated?  Do you need someone to care for them while you go to work or carry out your daily life?

Your loved one may not be at the point of needing full-time care, but does need some stimulation, companionship, and a little fun.

Fairview’s “A Caring Place” may be just what you are looking for.  A Caring Place is a program for adults needing supervision during daytime hours, Monday through Friday.  Our participants might be living alone or with a caregiver. The staff and volunteers offer tireless love, care, and assistance for all participants.  In addition, there is always some form of entertainment or program going on.  Everything from the poodles who come in every week to be petted, to arts and crafts, to bouncing giant balls with the preschool children, to having hula dancers, musicians, and puppeteers, can be a part of your loved ones’ day.

A Caring Place is operated by Catholic Charities, who employs licensed, certified and degreed staff, along with volunteers, to provide opportunities for one-on-one and group interaction.  Programming is planned to maintain and improve levels of functioning and includes health screenings, lunch, group discussion, pet therapy, art, music, and local trips.

Participants may be eligible for financial assistance through Medicaid Waiver, CHOICE, Veteran’s Administration, or Catholic Charities Indianapolis.
