Pilgrims are ordinary people who grow in a community as they each respond to a yearning for, and/or a calling from, God.

Humble Guidance is non-manipulative.  Fairview will not sell you the latest fad in popular theology, glitzy programs, a pastor-based personality cult, or easy answers.

Guidance affirms the importance of the individual’s spiritual journey. Nevertheless, a person may get farther by asking directions from traveling companions.  Fairview can provide that helpful direction.

As they engage the mysteries of God in their souls and lives acknowledges that the draw of God upon the human soul is a deep mystery.  The place where the soul meets its maker is sacred ground.  It is the most astounding, robust adventure a person can experience.  Deep mysteries do not have easy answers.  In fact, easy answers may rob a person of his/her greatest joy and deepest shelter in God.  Developing a relationship with God takes time and effort.

 Life is a spiritual journey.  As we walk our own life's path, we encounter fellow travelers.  Some may join us for a brief time; others will be  alongside for a long way. We can learn from and support one  another. We may not always agree, but we appreciate different perspectives.
