CHURCH RETREATS

Escaping the hassle, headaches and congestion of the city is a wonderful way to refresh your life and find new inspiration. We recommend retreating into the woods. In some years,  we hold spring weekend retreat for adults featuring a theme related to our Christian journey. Each fall, we host an intergenerational weekend retreat. People of all ages engage in worship, fellowship, bible study, and group fun. "Fun" is walking in the woods, canoeing on the lake, braving a high ropes course or just sitting around a campfire. Both retreats are at the PYOCA Conference and Retreat Center in Brownstown, Indiana. There are real beds, flush toilets and other city conveniences. During the winter, we have a Saturday retreat at nearby Christian Theological Seminary.
The 2011 Fall Intergenerational Retreat was held on Saturday and Sunday September 10th and 11th.  We had a great time with guest leader, author, and commissioned lay pastor, Jud Miner. For more information, contact Jennifer Loeb jloeb@fairviewpresbyterian.org.
