Worship Music

Music rattles the rafters and stirs the spirits of the people beneath them. Fairview is blessed with a number of professionally trained musicians and vocalists, as well as regular folks who enjoy making a joyful noise unto the Lord.

No one is more joyful and passionate than our music Director John Schmid.  A colorful and “friendly tyrant”, John brings three decades of teaching and performing experience to Fairview.  He is also the conductor and chorus master of the Indianapolis Opera.

Our Chancel Choir is an opus of diversity.  Gen-xer’s, empty nesters, singles, couples, parents and grandparents all sing from the same sheet music and along the way find friendship, support, and a sense of belonging.

If you can’t carry a tune, how about a couple of bells?  We have a growing bell choir.

Our Children’s Choir performs regularly and a new Youth Orchestra performing during worship.

Other musicians in the congregation frequently share their talents on Sunday mornings.

Fairview is a church for life.  And no matter what phase of your life, music is part of it.

Leadership defined by servanthood.

A common exploration for the truth.

“Taste and see that the Lord is good.”

Honest guidance as you engage the mysteries
of God in your life.

A church for life,
not just a phase of life.
