Discernment Sundays - September 23 & 30
The Community Discovery Team has been hard at work over the last several months talking to residents, service providers, educators, store owners, and other people in our community. The team has listened attentively to the many needs expressed by community members, and the Discovery Team has chosen four areas of need that Fairview might choose to address.
On the last two Sundays of September during the regular worship time Fairview will be having a time of congregational discernment. Within the first Sunday’s worship service, the areas of need will be presented along with scripture and a time of prayer and reflection for each area. On the second Sunday, we will worship in the Fellowship Hall as we prayerfully reflect on the areas and have the opportunity to discuss and brainstorm about each idea in smaller groups.
All are invited to this important event regarding Fairview’s future ministry!
On October 21st, at 2:00 p.m, Fairview will be walking in the annual Indianapolis CROP Walk. Join us once again to end hunger in Indianapolis and around the world! 75% of all funds raised benefits the international hunger and poverty work of Church World Service and 25% stays local benefiting Gleaner's Food Bank, Mid-West Food Bank, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Second Helpings and Exodus Refugee Immigration.
This event is fun for the whole family with a beautiful walk through the Butler-Tarkington Neighborhood.Entertainment from the Butler Pep Band!
